Yesterday I arrived back from a great trip to visit client, Vosges Chocolat in Chicago, Illinois. I flew out on Monday 8th and arrived to a beautiful apartment which was rented out for the week. The apartment came complete with a fully stocked fridge (and a basement with refills), a great kitchen, room, bathroom suite and a simply stunning garden – with hammock!

During the week, I was camped in the Vosges Head Quarters in Chicago – the office was like a maze in a fantastic warehouse conversion. There I met various Vosges staff from their new Marketing Director, Richard Kent – to owner Katrina Markoff and also Production Manager Ron. Ron proudly presented the manufacturing area of the office and explained the chocolate making process from the cocoa flakes to Vosges’ legendary chocolate bars and their truffles. This included watching Vosges’ truffles being made and the industry renowned Knobel machine.

The team at Vosges then happily took time to show me their beautiful city – we visited various landmarks such as the Hancock , Sears & Trump Tower; the stunning Chicago Yacht club, walks through various city centre parks were a free Blues Festival was in full swing and then one of my highlights a trip to the Wrigley Stadium to see Chicago Cubs play the Minnesota Twins.
