London, UK – February 23, 2011 – 7thingsmedia, the performance-based digital marketing agency, has appointed former Mindshare UK Business Director – Head of Affiliates, David McDermott as Performance Director.
Reporting to Founder & Managing Director Chris Bishop: David will be responsible for overall client performance and development whilst leading best practice within the agency. David’s experience as Online Analyst for Arcadia Group and three years as Account Director at affiliate network Commission Junction; led him to GroupM agency Mindshare, where he spent the last four years.
Tasked with setting up and growing Mindshare’s affiliate business, David worked extensively with top brands including Zurich Connect, Nestle, Mazda and News International. His role was extended to grow the affiliate business of MCHI – a joint-venture, full-service agency involving CHI & Partners and GroupM – where he successfully built a team to manage new business including The TalkTalk Group, Virgin Money and Big Yellow Self Storage.
